Joan, great suggestion on using wax paper as a barrier between the bread and plastic bag! A thoughtful way to minimize plastic contact while still getting the benefits of freezer storage. Thanks for sharing the tip!

That way none of the plastic touches the bread. This is based on recent articles that document how any plastic touching our food is not a good thing because the plastic leeches onto the food it touches. Getting rid of all the plastic in my life is impossible sadly but every bit helps I hope since we all have so much plastic in our bodies!
