Hey, Celine! Hmm, that’s strange, my top deck was perfectly temped. You could try turning the dial one notch hotter to compensate. Unfortunately, some of the decks (and their heating elements) deviate slightly in temperature!

Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!

To avoid burning, turn the top heating element off once your dough starts to color on top!

the biggest issue Im having in the single deck Rofco is the burning of the tops, even when baking at 200°C. This model only has one control for temp. TBH I use an Aga oven weekly and only use the Rofco when its (the weather) really hot and the Aga is off. So only baked in it 3 times in the 2 years I have owned it.

Happy to help (and thank you for both comments 🙂).

Thank you for organizing all this information so well.

I never had to replace the handle or steel, they worked well for me for many years!

Hey! I’m using the sheets provided with the oven, they are not parchment, they are the sheets you’ll find inside the oven when you purchase it.

You mention “silicone sheet” several times but it looks like you’re using parchment in the photos, what kind of sheets exactly are you using?

Thanks!

I have been looking at a Rofco for a while now and there are a number of reviews that speak about having to replace the seal as well as the door handle often. Have you found this to be true? Are there any other major flaws that would keep you from purchasing a rofco today as opposed to a rackmaster or nero?
